Our Language Arts courses train the intellectual leaders of the next generation by fostering creative problem solving. In our classes, students tackle projects that are framed as interpretation and communication problems: How can we understand the complex concepts presented to us? How can we communicate an idea in just the right way? Students craft written pieces and oral presentations to demonstrate their mastery of the Language Arts skills they learned in class. Our courses help students develop the confidence and advanced literacy skills they need to effectively communicate their ideas in college and beyond. Visit our course catalog to learn more about our Language Arts courses.
Our annual AoPS Academy Short Story Contest challenges our elementary and secondary-level students to dig deep into their own creativity to find the right words to convey a unique story to their audience. This year, AoPS Academy received 585 submissions of stories of all genres, generated from two simple prompts. From this submission pool, we recognize one elementary-level and one secondary-level winner from each campus for a total of 20 grand-prize winners. We're excited to share their stories with you now.
